The West Bengal government on Thursday extended Covid-related restrictions on governance and development to the state until June 15 which is considering an unusual flood in Covid cases.

The borders in Bengal are currently set from 15 May to 30 May.

Prime Minister Mamata Banerjee looked at the participation of Bengal residents and reassured them, "Kindly don't call this a thing. Coronavirus numbers have gone down. With economic life it will never end."

The epidemic situation in Bengal has eased slightly due to existing restrictions, said CM Banerjee. He also said that Covid-19 numbers in the province were declining, and in order to survive, he would not say "everything will end".

The recently reported limitations will continue until the 'new lock' time.

Allowed and free in Bengal:

1) All workplaces and educational institutions will be closed, as well as transport management, including the metropolitan area. Petroleum siphons and banks will be operational from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

2) All disaster risk management will be allowed, as will be the delivery of home delivery and other online management.

3) Grocery stores and grocery stores will remain open somewhere at 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Shops selling desserts, including traditional Bengali sweets, can be opened from 10am to 5pm.

4) Industries will be closed but tea nursery can work, even though there is about half the capacity.

5) No working hours shall be permitted for public, political, educational, authoritative or formal proceedings during this period. No open circles are allowed between 9 p.m. and 5 p.m.

6) A limit of 50 guests is allowed at weddings.

7) Shopping malls, salons, movie corridors, sports offices and restaurants were closed separately on 1 May.

Bangal Class 10, 12 board tests

CM Banerjee said the state will hold a Class 12 board test later in July, and Class 10 exams will take place in mid-August.

Dates will be announced later with some sheets, add.

"We have chosen to hold an auxiliary examination (Madamyamik) and a top choice (Uccho Madhyamik) ... adhere to all the COVID-19 security meetings," Banerjee told reporters at the country's secretary's office.

So far, West Bengal has infected 16,225 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, bringing the total to 13,18,203, according to a social service announcement.

The loss of life rose to 14,877 after the discovery of 153 people from various parts of the state, it said.

West Bengal currently has 1,23,377 motivational cases, while 11,79,999 patients have recovered from the illness, including 19,071 as of Tuesday.

A total of 1,21,21,940 samples have so far been tested for COVID-19, given the current 63,976 clinical trials, the announcement said.

So far, however, 59,5993 people have been vaccinated by the government during the day, officials said.
